Join us in Los Angeles at the Thrive Causemetics Headquarters to celebrate the launch of Lara Eurdolian's first book. We'll start off with a conversation moderated by Joe Zee, featuring Lara and Karissa Bodnar, Thrive Causemetics founder, speaking on their shared passions for making a positive impact through beauty.

 

Following the conversation, we'll celebrate over small bites and drinks from One Hope Wines!

 

Guests will receive gift bag courtesy of Thrive Causemetics, Bigger than Beauty skincare, and Powderful.

About the Moderator

Joe Zee, internationally acclaimed TV producer, host and style expert, and fashion industry veteran

Zee’s impressive resume features leadership roles at mega fashion publications including creative director at ELLE Magazine (US) and editor-in-chief and executive creative officer at Yahoo! Style. Zee’s trusted fashion expertise has earned him roles on top broadcast programs, including the role of resident judge on Canada’s Stitched and Oscar’s pre-show coverage for ABC’s Good Morning America, as well as on-air contributions to NBC’s TODAY, CNN, Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight

Zee has worked with some of the fashion world’s most important image-makers, including Annie Leibovitz, Juergen Teller, and Patrick Demarchelier. Zee also has versatility, offering his styling expertise to brands from Chanel to Banana Republic. Additional career accomplishments include Zee’s role as producer for the hit Netflix series 7 Days Out, and personally penned memoir titled That’s What Fashion Is: Lessons and Stories from My Nonstop, Mostly Glamorous Life in Style, published in 2015.

Zee was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Toronto. Zee moved to New York to pursue a career in fashion, attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, and is currently based in L.A. He first broke into the industry when he charmed the legendary stylist Polly Mellen at Allure magazine into hiring him as her assistant, after which he became the magazine's market editor.

About the Author

Lara Eurdolian King is a beauty and style expert, on-air talent, entrepreneur, and founder of the brand consulting and media agency and accessories line Pretty Connected. She's also a freelance writer, guest editor, and brain trust member for NewBeauty magazine; is on the Fashion Institute of Technology Alumni Council; and runs the beauty donation nonprofit Share Your Beauty, which she co-founded. To date, she has helped get 400,000 unused beauty and hygiene products sustainably donated to shelters in the NYC tristate area. Her favorite job of all, though, is being the loving dog mom to the real Charlie, who celebrated his 17th birthday this year. 

A well-known figure in New York City, Lara has been featured on Today, Good Morning America, Extra, Vanity Fair, InStyle, CNN, Page Six, Bustle, DailyMail, POPSUGAR, Shape, Well+Good, Refinery29, New York, StyleCaster, NewBeauty, and many more.

Thrive Causemetics® was born out of a friendship. Makeup artist and product developer Karissa Bodnar lost her dear friend Kristy to cancer at just 24 years old. Kristy’s compassionate and vivacious spirit inspired Karissa to establish Thrive Causemetics, a beauty brand and philosophy that goes beyond skin deep by empowering diverse communities. With over a decade of experience as a makeup artist, beauty product designer, and formulator, Karissa has traveled the world sourcing powerful ingredients to create clean formulas with skin-loving properties. Her passion for empowering individuals of all walks of life through the gift of beauty has taken her from backstage at New York Fashion Week to working with an impressive roster of high-profile clients.
