We invite you to an evening dedicated to climate solutions and community dialogue, followed by a networking reception to connect with innovators and fellow community members.

Screening and Talk: Watch Seaweed Stories, a short documentary narrated by Forest Whitaker and presented by Lonely Whale, which spotlights a fascinating cast of innovators who are harnessing the power of seaweed for climate innovation. A live conversation with director Jake Sumner and FIT professor Joshua Koury will follow.

Fireside Chat: Hear from FIT’s sustainability leader, Dr. Karen R. Pearson, and Amy Curtis of The All We Can Save Project, a climate leadership program inspired by the 2020 bestseller All We Can Save: Truth, Courage and Solutions for the Climate Crisis, an anthology of writings from 60 women at the forefront of the climate movement.

Reception: Enjoy light refreshments and network with innovators and fellow community members.

This event is part of FIT’s Sustainability Awareness Week, a series of special programs exploring responsible and eco-conscious innovations for the creative industries, and is hosted by the Sustainability Council, FIT's Common Read Program, and FIT Alumni Relations.
