Afrofuturist Fashion Show

Thursday, April 10 · 7–9 pm

Haft Theater

227 West 27th Street, New York, NY 10001

The African & Caribbean Association (ACA) and Black Student Union (BSU) at the Fashion Institute of Technology invite you to The Afrofuturist fashion show! Join us as we celebrate designs and cultures across the African diaspora, featuring live performances by Cumbedance, SAFA, and a live DJ set provided by WFIT.

Afrofuturism is defined by The National African American Museum of History and Culture as 'an expression of Black identity, agency and freedom through art, creative works and activism that envision liberated futures for Black life.' That future is now. This event celebrates African diasporic heritage and the vibrancy of African and Caribbean cultures through community and storytelling.
